Resumen: |
In this article an approach it is considered to the fights by the control and access to the water between the Hispanic and Creole regional elites and the peoples of Indians of the jurisdiction of Tula, in 18th century. It was a fight that really sank its roots in the new regional economic perspective, caused by the reduction of the cattle activity. So that towards 18th century the regional economy turned around the glance towards the grain crops, without leaving of side the upbringing cattle for the slaughters. Within this context, the regional elites, old proprietors of great ranches of cattle, invested importantcapitals in the construction of a hydraulic infrastructure (ditches, prey, jagüeyes) directed to the irrigation of the crops. Nevertheless, they were the peoples of Indians who from long before had controlled an important part of the hydro resources available, reason why the confrontation was the inevitable result of the process. |
