Resumen: | It is with great joy that we present to our readers this edition of the journal Caminhando. It has been two years since we began to offer the journal to an international public. As such, in 2004 we began to offer the titles, key words and abstracts in English. Beginning with this edition, we are including the same information in Spanish, and are translating, as well, information about the authors into the two languages. At the same time, the Library of our School of Theology has done everything possible to establish or renew relations that permit exchanges with other national and international theological journals. However, we do not simply want to increase the visibility of the contributions of our authors. In the future, we are thinking about the possibility of publishing articles not only in Portuguese, but also in English and Spanish. We are making every effort to listen to the needs of others and expand, even further, our horizons. We believe that, without a doubt, these initiatives will advance the original vision and purpose of this journal – reaffirmed by Dr. Clovis Pinto de Castro, in the first edition of the second editorial phase in 2001, based on the description by Bishop Isaac Alberto Rodrigues Aço, on the occasion of the presentation in 1983 of the first number of the first phase: “We have, thus, from this moment forward, an open forum. This is our commitment: to open the doors of this forum. Caminhando has a taste for life. We want to go forward.” Almost 25 years after the beginning of this journal, we are knocking on international doors and inviting others to participate in this forum because we believe that to journey in communion is essential to “walking as Christ walked”. We invite you, valued reader, to interact with the authors and with the editorial staff of this journal.Helmut RendersEditor |
