Resumen: | Although late, we're putting into the hands of our readers of the Journal Caminhando a good material on the topic "Five Hundred Years of Luther." Part of the articles presented here are resuming the speeches giving at the last Week of Theological Actualization, promoted annually by Theological Faculty.Luther is now not only studied by Protestants, but by Catholics and even other world religions. Furthermore, the importance of studying his proposals does not have a certain time limit, because the encounter with his favorite issues is always rich and communicating itself to the people: sola gratia, sola fide, sola scriptura. In all studies presented here, Luther is seen as a reformer of the Church, and as one who never changed his fundaments. It is important to see him from the perspective of a prophet born in the West in a time-axis of a universal history. Although his rich theological heritage, the great legacy of Luther, could be considered a sufficient contribution to the world, the same can be said about his life of faith - an example that should be followed by all Christians.Tercio Machado SiqueiraEditor This number was re-edited for the online edition of the Journal Caminhando to facilitate quotations.
