Dental caries is a multifactorial disease that demineralizes the hard tissues of the teeth by the action of acids, it occurs more frequently in children, today it is a problem of oral health worldwide. It is important to be able to recognize the risk of dental caries of each patient, which is why in California, the United States, the Caries Management By Risk Assessment (CAMBRA) questionnaire was created, the same one that aims to assess the risk of dental caries of each patient . The objective of this research work is to be able to assess the risk of dental caries by applying the modified CAMBRA protocol in Galapagos - Santa Cruz Island during the period May 2018-July 2019. The following longitudinal, quantitative and descriptive research sample It consisted of 60 children, where a clinical examination and survey were carried out to determine the risk of dental caries of each patient according to modified CAMBRA. For the statistical analysis, the results were tabulated and the Chi-square test was applied, to be able to identify if sex affects the results. The CAMBRA questionnaire resulted in a high percentage of 90% of the first three variables that indicate the presence of plaque on the teeth, pits and deep fissures and that all patients had correct salivary flow. In addition, a decreased consumption of 62% of the consumption of snacks high in sugar between meals and a correct dental brushing could be registered.
