PDF El síndrome de Down: es el conjunto de manifestaciones fenotípicas que se encuentran asociadas a las alteraciones existentes en el cromosoma 21, y en concreto, al exceso de material genético de la porción distal del brazo largo de dicho cromosoma. Son niños en proceso de crecimiento, con intereses, necesidades y deseos, como los demás niños de su edad cronológica.
