Every day a new dental adhesive material come out on the market, the adhesive systems aren’t imperceptible to these changes, with constantly updating are critical pieces to achieve a very precise and high-performance work for both, the dentist and patient, because working with the best materials give some assurance of a good job. These adhesive systems are responsible for the bonding of the restorative material to the tooth surface, thereby achieving great pleasure in patients to solve both functional and aesthetic problems every day. It is a research, descriptive, cross-sectional study, the variables studied were: adhesive strength, adhesive system 5th generation adhesive system 7th generation, where the information obtained was through books, dental journals with scientific support, scientific articles, web pages with scientific support, and were stablish onexcel data base designed for research. Among the results highlights that the adhesive systems with higher bond strength were the 5th generation systems, with a average difference in dentin adhesion of 12.46 MPa and an average difference of adhesion between enamel 15.99 MPa the two adhesive systems, where lower adhesion strength was presented by 7th generation systems with 25.09 MPa. And it was shown that both systems had improved adhesion to dentin than to enamel. In conclusion, the 5th generation adhesive system creates a stronger adhesion in comparation to the 7th generation of enamel and dentin |
