PDF El presente estudio proyecta ahondar en las comorbilidades y los resultados perinatales y obstétricos en pacientes embarazadas que tengan una edad entre 35 y 45 años que ingresaron a la emergencia obstétrica del Hospital “Martín Icaza” de la ciudad de Babahoyo, definir la frecuencia de estos padecimientos, que manifestaciones clínicas presentan y la edad correspondiente en la que se presentan. La metodología utilizada fue la observación y el registro de las historias clínicas. Tuvimos un universo de estudio de 252 pacientes embarazadas que ingresaron a la emergencia del nosocomio; sin embargo, solo 35 estuvieron dentro de los criterios de inclusión. Las variables fueron edad, escolaridad, trastornos hipertensivos, diabetes gestacional, hemorragias, IMC, entre otros. Se concluyó que el 57% de las gestantes estuvieron en edad entre los 38 y 45 años; mientras que un 64% corresponde a mujeres que se dedican a trabajar formalmente; cabe recalcar que estas mujeres son aquellas que tiene un rango de escolaridad mayor, por lo tanto, se encuentran más pendientes de su salud y la de su hijo, asistiendo regularmente a sus controles prenatales y demás. The present study projects to delve into the comorbidities and the perinatal and obstetric results in pregnant patients who are between 35 and 45 years old who entered the obstetric emergency at the "Martín Icaza" Hospital in the city of Babahoyo, to define the frequency of these conditions , what clinical manifestations they present and the corresponding age in which they occur. The methodology used was the observation and registration of medical records. We had a study universe of 252 pregnant patients who entered the hospital emergency room; however, only 35 were within the inclusion criteria. The variables were age, education, hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes, hemorrhages, BMI, among others. It was concluded that 57% of pregnant women were between 38 and 45 years of age; while 64% correspond to women who dedicate themselves to formal work; It should be noted that these women are those who have a higher level of schooling, therefore, they are more aware of their health and that of their child, regularly attending their prenatal checkups and others.
