In the treatment of the endodontic canal, before and during the operative phase, the dentist must take into consideration several parameters in order to achieve a good treatment, Among them is the root length of the tooth, and the working length, To obtain these measurements, conventionally several x-rays must be taken to the patient in order to calculate the length of the tooth, and the length of work. In this research, it is proposed to resort to an old method that is the rule of 3 simple, used by several authors as Bregman and Still, but with a modification, which has the peculiarity of reducing the number of radiographs to obtain these measurements, since the previous authors used from 2 to 3 radiographs to obtain the length of the root, while with the present technique, the root lrnght will be obtained with only the initial diagnostic radiography and the combination of skills of the operator to obtain several measurements of the tooth and on the tooth. |
