PDF El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo sistematizar la práctica pre profesional realizada en el Departamento de Consejería Estudiantil de la Unidad Educativa Particular SOFOS de la ciudad de Guayaquil, entre los meses de julio y diciembre, con los estudiantes de Noveno Año de Educación Básica Superior de los paralelos “A” y “B”, de edades comprendidas entre los trece y catorce años; para validar el proceso de prácticas pre profesionales de 500 horas, previo a la obtención del título psicólogos. El trabajo realizado con los estudiantes tuvo como objetivo determinar cómo la baja autoestima influye en el bajo desempeño académico; la metodología utilizada fue de tipo cualitativo a través del método descriptivo, narrativo. En la metodología cualitativa el investigador ve al escenario y a las personas en una perspectiva holística, estudiándose a las personas en el contexto de su pasado y las situaciones actuales en que se encuentran; los instrumentos utilizados fueron reportes de calificaciones por parciales, hojas de derivaciones de docentes al DECE, registros de entrevistas a docentes, padres de familia y estudiantes, además de los test de Coopersmith, Sacks y Raven. De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos se evidencio que la baja autoestima no era el factor determinante en este grupo poblacional con bajo desempeño académico. Se realizó un proceso de intervención psicológica con talleres dirigidos a estudiantes, padres de familia y docentes, para concientizar sobre la influencia de los factores psicológicos, sociológicos, ambientales y biológicos en el proceso académico de los estudiantes he objective of this work is to systematize the pre-professional practice carried out in the Student Advisory Department of the SOFOS Private Educational Unit of the city of Guayaquil, between the months of July and December, with the Ninth Year students of Higher Basic Education of the parallel "A" and "B", between the ages of thirteen and fourteen; to validate the process of pre-professional practices of 500 hours, prior to obtaining the title psychologists. The objective of the work carried out with the students was to determine how low self-esteem influences low academic performance; The methodology used was qualitative through the descriptive, narrative method. In the qualitative methodology the researcher sees the scenario and the people in a holistic perspective, studying the people in the context of their past and the current situations in which they find themselves; the instruments used were report cards by partial, teacher referral sheets to the DECE, records of interviews with teachers, parents and students, in addition to the Coopersmith, Sacks and Raven tests. According to the results obtained, it was evidenced that low self-esteem was not the determining factor in this population group with low academic performance. A psychological intervention process was carried out with workshops aimed at students, parents and teachers, to raise awareness about the influence of psychological, sociological, environmental and biological factors on the students' academic process. |
