This Thesis consists of the systematization of cultural beliefs of gender violence in the families of the Mariuxi Febres Cordero Community emerged from the project “Promotion and Prevention in the Eradication of Gender Violence in Children, Girls, Teens and Families of South Guasmo, Guayaquil”, in order to identify what are the cultural beliefs of gender violence in the families of that community and to acquire new critical learning from the experiences, based on the research line. “Psychosocial Aspects in Cultural Diversity: at the Community Level, Gender, Family, Immigration, Legal and Violence”, and with the sub-title: “Family, Ideology and Culture”. The research has a systemic approach that allows the study of the phenomenon to conceive each individual as part of a whole, and has a qualitative cut with descriptive explanatory scope. From the critical perspective, it is difficult to think that in the 21st century we still have to work to raise awareness of the importance of respect for others, because the families of this area have widespread behaviors and ideas, so that education and the raising of sons and daughters is defined by different roles and notoriously differentiated functions, demonstrating patriarchal supremacy, so it can be concluded that families have naturalized gender violence, reinforcing and accepting violent behaviors. Not in all cases is it the same, given that certain families have identified and transformed those cultural beliefs |
