The present paper is about the concept of Self-esteem, its meaning in Therapy and its interpretation through the evolution of personal growth. It aims to show the importance of taking into account the patient’s self-esteem regardless of the model used or the demand expressed. In the setting of a therapy it is fundamental to properly identify and apply the patient’s self-esteem as a variable within the therapeutic framework, in order to broaden the subject’s structure and therefore improve his or her self-esteem. El presente article trata sobre el concepto de Autoestima, su significado dentro del proceso terapéutico, y la interpretación dada en la evolución del crecimiento personal del sujeto. El objetivo es exponer la importancia de tener en cuenta la autoestima del paciente, al margen del modelo utilizado, o de la demanda. Es básico dentro del marco de terapia, darle un significado propio a la autoestima, y utilizar este significado como variable dentro del esqueleto terapéutico, a la vez que presentar la posibilidad de ampliar el sistema del sujeto para poder mejorar su autoestima. |
