Resumen: | Este estudo tem como objetivo a reflexãosobre a saúde de homens e mulheres operários. A questão em discussãoé a seguinte: a relaçãotrabalho/saúde diferencia-sesegundo os grupos masculinos e femininos? Problematizar essa relação supõe uma investigação das relações de gênero no contexto do trabalho. Uma das hipóteses centrais é que essasrelações organizam os modos operatórios, os conteúdos das tarefas, a relação trabalho/saúde de um processo de produção onde a organização técnica e social do trabalho foi constituída historicamente desde sua origem, a partir de uma figura feminizada.Abstract: This study describes the relationship betWeenwork and health in the industrial sector in terms of classand gender. Ir is based on extensive fieldwork and knowledge of a town-factory, which is defined as a unit of production/reproduction. Severalstudies have dealt with textile town-factories. But very few address the issue of the relationship betWeenthe gender-based division of work and the social and technical organization of work.
