From Foucault’s claim according to which he recognizes “not to have written any more than fictions” this paper analyses the statute of the fi ction in his thought and the legitimacy of its use in the critical contemporary thought. The aim of the article is to argue that this focus on fi ction far from discrediting the reputation of Foucault’s historic investigation, finds its authority in Nietzsche’s conception of truth. This one is opposed both to the representative conception as to the Heidegger’s conception of truth, which also tries to avoid the representation. The analysis examines this approach as it is developed in the introductory words of Foucault’s work Truth and Juridical Forms in which he offers a commentary of On Truth and Lie in an Extra-moral Sense. |
