The purpose of the research work was to evaluate the antioxidant activity of the flour obtained from the shell of the passion fruit, developing an experimental model in vivo, where 6 groups were formed, each one with 6 biological species, 3 groups of these were treated with doses of extract at different concentrations, a group with vitamin A, a group as a positive control and a group as a negative control, after these treatments the induction was performed on all groups to produce liver damage with Acetyl Salicylic Acid (ASS) at its maximum dose (600 mg/kg) except for the negative control group, the characteristic treatment of each group was followed to perform the sacrifice of the biological species, from which it was extracted the liver and the quantification of malondialdehyde (MDA ) concentration was carried out product of the liver damage produced, using thiobarbituric acid (TCA) and trichloroacetic acid (TBA) as reactive substances. |
