The chamber opening is one step within the endodontic protocol as important as the others. It is here that the treatment begins so that its correct approach will allow an effective access to the root canals. There are different techniques of openings, but there are few investigative works that show us the advantages or disadvantages of them. The present work has as a purpose through an in vitro study to establish which technique, the conventional chamber opening or the chamber incisal opening, provides better benefits when treating anterior teeth, so a sample of 30 teeth separated into two groups was chosen. In the group A, conformed of 15 teeth, was made a conventional opening and, in group B, an incisal opening, in order to perform a laboratory study through measurements in periapical radiographs with which we would obtain values that determine which technique provides a rectilinear access to the ducts and there is greater conservation of dental tissue. From the results obtained, it was observed that group B with the incisal technique was the one with the greatest benefits. Based on this it is concluded that the choice of the type of chamber opening will depend on the diagnosis of the tooth to be treated. However, with the incisal technique we ensure greater conservation of dental tissue and a rectilinear access to the ducts. |
