El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la prevalencia de Infecciones en Heridas Quirúrgicas en pacientes de 18 a 45 años de edad del Hospital De Especialidades Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón. El estudio fue de enfoque cuantitativo, analítico, retrospectivo y transversal, que analizó las historias clínicas de 239 pacientes con la patología durante el periodo del 1 de enero del 2015 hasta el 31 de diciembre del 2017. Para el análisis estadístico se empleó el programa SPSS versión 21. La prevalencia de ISQ fue del 3% en el periodo del 2015 al 2017, siendo el año 2015 el de mayor casos reportados (64%). El 82% (197) fue clasificado con herida quirúrgica limpia, con un riesgo de infección
The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of Surgical Wound Infections in patients aged 18 to 45 years of the Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialties Hospital. The study was a quantitative, analytical, retrospective and transversal approach, which analyzed the medical records of 239 patients with the pathology during the period from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017.
