The third molars are the most irregular pieces about morphology and eruption is concerned. They begin their training around 8 years ending his amelogenesis around 12 to 16 years . Then make its eruption between 18 and 20 years , completing the root formation between 20 to 23 years . Because they are the last pieces erupted, retained or tend most come to constitute a section important of dental pathology, not only by its frequency and display range , but also by the pathology and accidents frequently trigger , explaining that its extraction is the intervention most commonly performed oral surgeons and maxillofacial . To avoid complications, the extraction should be as soon as the dentist determines that there is a held item . Moreover, the extraction of these becomes more difficult with increasing age since the patient has fully formed roots third molars and the alveolar bone is more calcified . at foregoing is considered of vital importance to study the postoperative complications , both in state and in the frequency . Because if the general dentist does not have enough experience in the treatment of post operative complications must refer the case to a maxillofacial surgeon. In addition to the above, this study substantiates the importance of awareness to the dentist for inclusion in the initial routine examination of both clinical assessment and radiographic . The purpose of this paper is to describe the complications postoperative third molar to avoid complications we require you to failure of surgery and hence the operator and patient. |
