Currently there are different imaging methods in order to visualize the different pathologies that occur in the oral area, in order to obtain better images of anatomical structures and possible pathologies; cone beam dental tomography is a new technique that is booming, which helps the dentist diagnose correctly in order to give a good treatment and solution to the oral problem presented by the patient. In the area of endodontics, this technique is advisable to apply and make the most of it, as well as is used in the area of implantology and maxillofacial surgery. For this reason, this work is carried out with the aim of to determine the frequency of the most predominant pathologies in endodontic, through the use of cone beam tomography (CBCT), using a cross-cutting, descriptive, documentary, non-experimental methodology, with a sample consisting of 212 tomography, from the database of the Dentaimagen Radiological Center and articles no more than 5 years old related to the subject of study. The results obtained were that the most common genus of endodontic pathologies was the male representing 55.66%, the range of ages with the highest prevalence of endodontic conditions was between the ages of 41-50 representing 32.07%, in addition the insightful lesions were endodontic pathologies with the highest percentage 32.07% and internal and external root reabsorptions the lowest percentage of representation with 2.35%. Concluding that dental tomography is an imaging study that contributes to and provides high quality images, which help the professional improve diagnoses and apply better treatment to his patients. |
