Escherichia coli O157: H7 is an enterohemorrhagic serotype that represents a serious general threat to public health and that produces hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) and renal failure. In Ecuador there are no investigations to ensure the presence of E. coli O157: H7. The presence of Escherichia coli O157: H7 in ground beef sold in the markets of the city of Guayaquil. The design of a study that has been done is a type of descriptive, observational activity with a non- experimental investigation, it was sown in neutral red crystal violet bile agar. We proceeded to the identification of Microorganism and the subsequent sub-typification of the O157H7 strain. Detection of total strains such as Escherichia coli, 20% of strains belonging to subtype O157H7. The checklist of the conditions of storage and sale of ground beef |
