pdf El proyecto de investigación tuvo como objetivo describir la relación que existe entre las dificultades de la lectoescritura y el desarrollo socioemocional en niños y niñas de 7 a 12 años de la unidad educativa “INDOALEMÁN” en la ciudad de Guayaquil. Esto se realizó a través de una metodología cuantitativa de tipo transversal y de alcance descriptivo entre el mes de mayo y agosto del 2019, con 18 participantes en total. Para la identificación de las dificultades de la lectoescritura se utilizó el instrumento Batería de los procesos lectores, revisada (PROLEC-R), la prueba de integración visomotriz (VMI), y Test de Análisis de Lectoescritura (T.A.L.E); mientras que para la identificación de las dificultades y cualidades en el desarrollo socioemocional se utilizó el Cuestionario de Cualidades y Dificultades (SDQ) y la Escala de Madurez Social entre Pares (PMSAT). Se concluyó que un 50% de los participantes con dificultades en la lectoescritura presentan dificultades generales en el SDQ es decir existe un 50% de participantes que demuestran conductas problemáticas. En cuanto a la valoración del PSMAT se registró un 11% de los participantes se encontraban por debajo del promedio esperado para su edad, se hizo una comparación de los datos obtenidos en el SDQ y el PSMAT y se determinó que el 11% de participantes que registran dificultades socioemocionales también registran las mayores dificultades de lectoescritura. The research project aimed to describe the relationship between the difficulties of literacy and socio-emotional development in children aged 7 to 12 years of the educational unit "INDOALEMÁN" in the city of Guayaquil. This was done through a quantitative methodology of transversal type and descriptive scope between May and August 2019, with 18 participants in total. For the identification of the difficulties of literacy, was used the instrument Battery of reading processes, revised (PROLEC-R), the visuomotor integration test (VMI), and the Test of Analysis of Literacy (T.A.L.E). Meanwhile for the identification of the difficulties and qualities in the socio-emotional development was used the Questionnaire of Qualities and Difficulties (SDQ) and the Scale of Social Maturity between Peers (PMSAT) were used. It was concluded that 50% of participants with literacy difficulties present general difficulties in the SDQ, that is, there are 50% of participants who demonstrate problematic behaviors. Regarding the PSMAT assessment, 11% of the participants were below the expected average for their age, a comparison was made of the data obtained in the SDQ and the PSMAT and it was determined that 11% of participants who register socio-social difficulties.
