During 2016, the malformation with the highest prevalence was hydrocephalus with a percentage of 73% (71 patients) and in 2017 78.57% (55 patients). The scientific contribution made by this work is to make known that hydrocephalus is the malformation with the highest prevalence during 2016 and 2017 in children under 5 years of age Universidad de Guayaquil.
