The present work realized an analysis and comparative study of the technology of the cable of optical fiber opposite to the technology of the cable of copper, with the aim to identify and compare the characteristics of both technologies and improve the internet service in a private urbanization in Guayaquil city. In the theoretical fundamentation we found optical fiber reaches raise in the optical fiber another great difference is the distance of up to 60 KM between the node and the client with no repeaters, whereas the cable of copper reaches up to 3 KM from distance. Possesses one of the bigger optical fiber networks of the country, has planned to cover strategic points to extend the coverage of telephony and Internet service, in the private citadels of Guayaquil where there was a copper network in poor condition, reaching his aim and mission as company to offer quality of service for the good living. The field research allows gathering evidence of the processes or flows in the development of the migration that helps to establish the comparative analysis of the transmission means. Nowadays the services that can offer with the optical fiber are telephony and Internet, but it is necessary to have present that exists an intensive growth of the technology and it is possible to offer IPTv's servic |
