Resumen: |
In this work we have tried to approach the central problem that this study raised at the time, that is, the juridical conceptions of St. Augustine in general with special attention to the basic concept of ciuitas.to approach the juridical conceptions of St. Augustine, and which links to the theme and problem of the legitimization of canon law, we have begun by analyzing the most important juridical-political terms, populus, regnum, Res publica, societas and the most important of all, civitas. All these terms are related to each other, and in turn are linked to other issues and themes, such as the concepts pax, iustitia or caritas. Normally they are developed showing some nuances, which are framed within the contraposition between the civitas terrena and the civitas Dei, that is to say in the apology of the City of God, although not in all of them this phenomenon occurs. |
