Resumen: |
The city of Toledo is the result of a long historical process conditioned by a civic imaginary, which allowed it to differentiate itself from others and defend the pre-eminence it enjoyed in modern times. In order to affirm its privileges, the search for historical arguments was resorted to and when these were lacking, its invention was made. This is the case of some inscriptions and coins that were used to show the granting of ancient titles in Antiquity. Also, the invention of saints or the attribution of the toledanidad of others already known, that finished with the produced one in Toledo around San Tirso that centers our study.
