Resumen: |
“Values and social implications of the Mexican National Anthem” expose in four sections the main problems that have faced this canto to be consolidated as an identity file. In the first instance, what is a hymn is defined and the antecedents of the Mexican are reviewed; In the second, his birth and identification with the regime of santanist is discussed. The third section presents the relationship of the anthem with Porfirist politics and finally, the current problems arising from the legal recognition of the hymn as mexican symbol by Manuel Ávila Camacho and Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado: the clash with the religion denominated Jehovah’s Witnesses, its scope as a symbol for the indigenous communities, and its use in media. |
