Resumen: |
At the start of modernity in Europe, many works on utopia associated with remote places were written, some with profound satiric message. One of the more important works was the Travels of Cyrano de Bergerac, in which he expounded his critique of rationalist and Christian ideas from a libertinian perspective. In his fight against scepticism and relativism, Leibniz critically analyzes Cyrano’s work and other conceptions of the world and the human being in order to affirm the central role of rational solutions, because a critique that does not offer any alternative is no solution to the problems of society. |
