Resumen: |
The Latin Bible is the Latin document which uses the greatest number of indefinite pronouns. Some adjectives and nouns used as indefinites (homo, uir, anima, sermo, uerbum, proximus, amicus, frater, collega, uicinus, unus, omnis, uniuersus, cunctus) should be added to the standard list of classical and postclassical Latin indefinites, as also the participle in its paronomastic usage. These new indefinite pronouns in biblical Latin have their origins in the Hebrew from which the Latin translations of the Bible were made. No disponible. |
