Tal fato indica que, para a construção de propostas curriculares locais, é necessário rediscutir e, talvez, redefinir algumas concepções presentes nos PCNs.Abstract:In this study we examine the discussion that the PCN (Pâmetros Curriculares Nacionais)1 offer about the importance of inserting mathematical daily knowledge in pedagogical school practices. We also analyze mathematical conceptions implied in the PCN, as well as the configuration this document indicates for the connections between school knowledge and daily knowledge. The aim of this investigation is to contribute to the debate about the possibilities of implementation of the PCN in local environments. The analysis indicates that there is a solid superposition of school knowledge over daily knowledge. There is a close approximation of mathematical school knowledge to scientific knowledge, while mathematical daily knowledge is conceived as a kind of previous learning and that, in this quality, it has to be surpassed, which makes the coexistence of the two sorts of knowledge difficult. This fact indicates that the construction of regional curricular proposals demands a new discussion and, perhaps, the redefinition of some conceptions presented by PCN.Key words: Mathematical knowledge. Daily knowledge. School knowledge and curriculum |
